Ron Besley has done a stellar job in rebuilding what is now our fine new place. I couldn’t imagine it, having been done better or more efficiently. Well done! And thanks so much again.

Designed and built by Ron Besley
Recently, Ron Besley designed and built a permanent timber frame and glass patio awning for me. I found Ron and his staff to be very professional and easy to work with. The job was on budget, on time and certainly is a great addition to my home. I would certainly recommend Ron for any job you might be considering.

“Our experience with Ron and his crew was very positive! Working closely with our ideas, they were able to execute with ease exactly what we had imagined for the redesigning of our house and gate.
It was completed on schedule and within our budget, they were always polite and curious. We received endless amounts of compliments on the work that was done, it looks amazing! Thanks Ron!”

Project: Architect designed custom house, 1700 sq. ft. on one level with a walk out basement.
Built by Ronald Besley.
“Of particular concern to us was working with a contractor at long distance, as we are residents of Calgary and the house is on Salt Spring Island. Ron used an electronic camera to keep us informed of progress, and he also sent specific photos as a basis for discussions when a decision had to be made on something. Overall he was very communicative and met and exceeded all of our needs in that area. The work was of excellent quality throughout. In particular, anything involving wood was of very high quality. Generally, the subcontractors he chose also did quality work. He also provided a set of photos of the house wiring before drywall and finishes, so we have an as-built pictorial record of what is behind the plaster and its location. We were very satisfied.”

Project: Post and beam wing addition to the kitchen, dining and utility rooms.
Designed and build by Ronald Besley.
“We are delighted with the new wing. Great design, great workmanship, bright, pleasant, beautiful and everything works great. We seem to spend most of our time out there, near the water. The carpenters who did most of the work were great people, intelligent, pleasant and hard working. They did not waste time. The best thing is knowing that the workmanship is superb. All the beams are mortised in; everything is straight, smooth and beautifully finished. In other words absolutely first class work.”

Project: Garage and studio.
Designed and built by Ronald Besley.
“We were very pleased with the work Ron Besley did. Ron had some good ideas that we hadn’t thought of. He talked to us about them, and we incorporated them into the design. Because we weren’t on Salt Spring while the work was being done, Ron was in constant communication with us and kept us informed about how the job was going, which made us feel comfortable.”

Project: New hay barn.

“I was really satisfied with the work that Ron Besley did for us. It is a very simple design and it is well built. I get lots of people commenting on it. As well, the crew was pleasant – I enjoyed chatting with them. Both the time schedule and budget were met.”
